A new mythologically themed deck of playing cards is on its way! I've loved Greek mythology since I was a little kid (you can probably tell by the name "Kid Khronos"), and even as a big kid I still love reading about mythology and religion. The plan for this deck is to include deities from different mythological groups. Most likely Norse, Greek, Roman and Egyptian. Although I'm still considering other mythological groups, Aztec for instance.
The hardest part is deciding which deities should appear on the court cards – there are so many interesting figures to choose from! The plan for the court cards thus far:
Will that be the final cast? No idea! There are some strange choices there, I've just chosen deities that I feel will be interesting to draw, rather than worrying about their hierarchy or relationship to one another. I tend to be really indecisive with my court cards, I often design too many and then I have to cull a few in the end. But I've started with Odin (shown above), I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm really excited about designing the rest, it's already so much fun!
